Senior Associate, GCILEX
Litigation and Disputes
What’s your role at DAS Law?
I am responsible for a team dedicated primarily to consumer and commercial contract disputes.
This includes a huge range of circumstances, from the quality of building work to disputes with professional advisers (such as a surveyor, architect or solicitor) or disputes over purchases of everything from horses to fountains.
My team is fully aware that legal disputes are alien to most outside the legal profession and ensure that our advice is given in a way that is easily accessible, yet covers all of the risks that are present in that particular dispute.
Our aim is to ensure that you understand what is happening and the risks that are present, so you can make fully informed decisions throughout the legal process.
What are your areas of expertise?
My main area of expertise is contractual matters involving the supply of goods and services. This can be anything from the purchase of a second hand car, to the installation of a swimming pool.
I also have a keen interest in misrepresentation cases. One of my best results involved recovering the purchase price of a horse that had been fraudulently misrepresented to my client.
What do you like to do outside of the office?
Outside of the office I am a keen skier and try to get out to the Alps each winter. I am also fond of football and tennis and play (unsuccessfully) for a 5-a- side team. Other than sport, I love food and am always on the lookout for a new recipe or restaurant.
