Principal Associate, Solicitor
What’s your role at DAS Law?
I am a technical lead in the personal injury department, providing advice to all the teams within the PI department. These teams assist clients through a wide range of personal injury claims with the focus being the best outcome for the client.
What are your areas of expertise?
I advise on law and court procedure for those claims. I audit cases and reserves and I strive to ensure that our clients receive the best care whilst their claims are with DAS.
What do you like to do outside of the office?
I enjoy walking in Wales and visiting museums in London where I live, and abroad. I like to cook and read up on cookery tips. I occasionally join in with an archaeological excavation. I sing in a choir and like to run and swim.
In a previous life?
I have had a long career in litigation law, alongside being a family law practitioner. Before moving to work in Bristol, I was a partner in a City of London firm bringing claims for serious injuries, particularly resulting from pedestrian, cycling and motorbike accidents.
Auditing and reserves advice was also provided for insurers in serious and catastrophic injury claims. Claims of all types were defended for the insurers where appropriate.
I specialised in defending fraudulent and exaggerated PI and credit hire claims, and PI claims made despite the claim arising from criminal activity.
