You can make a complaint to an employment tribunal if your employer has, for example, unfairly dismissed you, failed to pay you wages or discriminated against you.
How we can help
The employment tribunal process can be daunting and confusing if you are not sure of what to do. DASLaw’s expert employment team are there to help you and make a complicated process as straightforward as possible.
The employment team are specialists in litigation and in 2014 dealt with over 2,100 new claims, achieving settlements of over £2.9 million for our clients. We will talk you through the process at every stage, help you make informed choices on your case, and work with you to achieve the outcome that you are seeking.
If you have cover under a DAS policy, the costs of our products may be covered by your insurance policy (subject to the terms and conditions of the policy). For those clients that don’t have cover under a DAS policy, we have a range of fixed fee products including VAT, so you know with certainty how much each stage of the process is going to cost.
Our employment tribunal products are offered on a fixed fee basis so you are clear and in control of the costs at every stage.
All individuals bringing claims to an employment tribunal must contact Acas and ensure that they engage in a process known as ‘Early Conciliation’. In an effort to ensure that litigation in the employment tribunal is the last resort and that resolutions are obtained as amicably as possible, an officer appointed by Acas shall be introduced to your case and tasked with liaising with yourself and your employer to try and ascertain whether there is any scope for resolving the dispute. At the end of this process, Acas will issue a certificate which is vital to enable you to bring your employment tribunal claim if early conciliation is not successful.
