Accidents in Public Places

Accidents in Public Places

If you have been injured in a public place, we will listen to the details of your accident and tell you quickly if you are likely to be successful in a compensation claim. Our longstanding experience and expertise enables us to efficiently analyse your case and present a strong claim on your behalf.

Am I entitled to compensation?

If you are visiting a shop or business premises, the owner has a duty to make sure that you are safe during your visit and are not exposed to unreasonable risk of injury.

This means that an owner must make sure that floors are safe for your use; floors should not, for example, be uneven or wet.

You should also not encounter any unexpected hazards or obstacles, and the premises should be well-lit. In winter, any snow or ice should be cleared appropriately.

You may be entitled to recover compensation for your injury and for the cost of any medical treatment or lost earnings.
