Mike Jones: Overcoming Adversity

At DAS Law we have the experience to deal with the most serious personal injury cases. Businessman and keen amateur golfer Mike Jones was involved in a serious motorcycle accident in October 2015 when another motorist failed to see him on the road.

He was unconscious for four days, requiring 22 hours of surgery and five weeks in hospital. His injuries were life-changing, the most serious being the traumatic amputation of his lower left leg.

Unlawful deduction of wages

An employee whose employer failed to notify her that they were changing owners, and terminated her employment without consultation, instructed DAS Law to represent her.

We successfully represented the claimant and settled the matter for £8,250 on the grounds of: unfair dismissal, unlawful deduction of wages, failing to provide a contract or pay statements and failing to inform and consult about a TUPE transfer.

My solicitor went above and beyond his duty to make sure my claim was dealt with efficiently and with ease.

TUPE Transfer

Our employment team represented live-in stewards of a private members club, who were dismissed when the club was sold. We issued a claim for unfair dismissal and failing to inform and consult about a TUPE transfer. We represented the claimants at the hearing and negotiated an agreed settlement for both clients with the new owner

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for all your hard work and outstanding professional service for the duration of our claim.  Having now received our settlement we are delighted.

Settlement agreement

After returning from annual leave, our client met with her line manager who told her that the employer was looking to dismiss her for alleged as poor performance. We negotiated with the employer over the terms of a settlement agreement, and the employer paid the sum of £16,250 to the employee.

Just to let you know that I have received all monies due so everything has been settled in full and all company property returned. Thank you very much for all your help and assistance

Unfair dismissal

We were instructed to represent an employee who was dismissed for her inability to perform work duties as a result of her health. We successfully settled the matter for £10,000.

Thank you so much for all your help with the case against my employer. I know I would not have got anywhere without your help
