Chris Mathewson

I am a practicing solicitor with more than 15 years of post-qualification experience, having advised and advanced a broad range of Claimant and Defendant disputes across a variety of commercial disciplines, including (but not limited to):

• Jurisdiction and choice of law issues;
• Contract;
• Professional negligence;
• Insurance cover;
• Insurance recovery;
• Employment (non-tribunal); and
• Financial services (breach of mandate and miss-selling).

Presently I help lead a dedicated team specialising in commercial litigation, working closely with clients and getting to grips early with the issues and finding constructive strategies to seek resolution.

I enjoy collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and objectives but our goal is always to cut through complex factual and legal issues to deliver clear, straightforward and robust advice.

Away from the law I have a busy family life but can still be found at the gym, running, climbing, hiking, or playing music (badly)…although finding the time to do any of these can be challenging.
